ABOUT OUR ACCOMMODATION

Koubad Farm lodge offers different accommodation options to suite your needs.

Lodge Bed & Breakfast Accommodation.

These rooms offer accommodation with options of Dinner Bed & Breakfast or Bed & Breakfast. Four thatched chalets, house five luxury rooms, which are situated within our indigenous garden. attention to detail in these tastefully decorated rooms affords you comfort you will not easily find elsewhere. All are en-suite and have an equipped mini kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave, toaster and washing up area. There is also limited satellite TV, safe for valuables, hair dryer, irons and ironing board, gowns and toiletries. Same day laundry service is available.

All meals are served at the Lodge, known as the Diamond. Our breakfast is comprehensive, and for your convenience we ask you to complete your choice the evening before, and time you would like your meal served.

We do not have an a-la-carte restaurant. We serve a delicious 3 course home made dinner on request. Advance dinner reservations are essential, and our dietary requirement information will be emailed to you prior to your arrival, to enable us to take individual preferences or food intolerances into account.

Safe under cover parking available for all rooms.

Self Catering Villa

A six sleeper luxury villa with fully equipped open plan kitchen, including dishwasher and modern appliances. The open plan kitchen/dining area and lounge leads onto a patio area, with private garden, pool and outdoor fire pit. Braai facilities, potjie pot and Weber braai are provided. There are three en-suite bedrooms- one downstairs and two upstairs. all rooms overlook the garden and pool area. Air-conditioning in lounge and bedrooms. Limited satellite TV in lounge only. All linen towels and swimming towels supplied. Serviced daily. Secure under cover parking in Lodge grounds.

Balladon Cottage – Self-catering – Sleeps 6

A three bedroomed stone cottage build on the banks of the Balladon river, a 10 minute drive from the main lodge.

A high clearance or 4×4 vehicle is needed to access the Cottage.

Alternate energy/ solar and gas lighting. Fully equipped kitchen with efficient gas appliances – stove, fridge and deep freezer. Aga anthracite stove in winter. Open plan kitchen dining and lounge area. Three bedrooms – main en-suite. second bathroom/shower and toilet. Gas Geyser. Back and front verandas, with build in braai and outside entertainment area. Weber ,potjie pot and gas pan braai supplied. Small pool and deck overlooking the river. All linen towels and swimming towels supplied. Security guard on premises. Serviced daily. Delicious clean safe borehole water.

Aloe Cottage – Self-Catering sleeps 2

One bedroom stone cottage, slightly upstream and private from Balladon Cottage. Alternate energy, solar and gas. Efficient gas stove and fridge, in small fully equipped kitchen/dining area. Clean safe borehole water. Shower, toilet and basin with gas geyser. Outdoor braai and Boma, with Weber and potjie pot supplied. linen and towels supplied. Serviced daily.

4×4 vehicle is needed to access the cottage.

Bivane River Camp Site

Four camp sites at Koubad Farm on the banks of the Bivane River, upstream from the Lodge. Solar energy only at ablution area. Boiler for hot water Clean safe borehole water. Ablution blocks with 2 x shower toilet and basin, 1 x bath toilet and basin. 1 x kitchen washing up area with deep freeze. Gas geyser for hot water. Braai facilities supplied, with outdoor tables and benches. Free flow grounds to the river. Not fenced free roaming cattle horses and game.

Rustic Camping Site Roodeloop Farm

This popular remote picnic spot has now been developed into a camp site, with the recent addition of ablution facilities. donkey boiler for hot water, two double showers basins and toilets. Kitchen and washing up area. River water, please bring your own drinking water.

Rustic braai place only, bring all your own equipment.
